WHO WE ARE

A Practical Approach to Remodeling

Excelsior Design is a McKinney, Texas company with two sides to the work. We design and build remodeling projects for homeowners, builders, and designers across Collin County and the wider Dallas–Fort Worth area. And we import and supply the materials behind that work — natural stone, handmade terracotta roof tile, and cabinetry — to builders, contractors, distributors, and wholesalers nationwide.

The two halves inform each other. Because we install what we sell, we know how a material behaves on a real job site, not just how it photographs in a catalog. Buyers in any state get sourcing backed by people who have laid the tile themselves.

We work with clients who value thoughtful planning and want projects managed properly — from early decisions through execution and final details. Our role is to guide the process, manage complexity, and deliver spaces that work better day to day.

Rather than chasing trends or surface-level updates, we prioritize decisions that support durability, usability, and long-term value.

THE FOUNDER

Behind Excelsior

Excelsior Design was founded by Mustafa Kadıoğlu — an industrial engineer whose career has run along the seam where manufacturing, supply chains, and real estate meet.

He grew up in an industrialist family in İstanbul, where business meant knowing the factory floor as well as the balance sheet. He studied Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Sabancı University, earned a certificate in International Business Operations and Management from UC Irvine Extension, and has kept adding formal training in logistics, supply chain management, real estate development, and finance since.

He spent years in business development for his family's forest products company before moving into real estate development — coordinating projects, managing properties, and overseeing large-scale real estate portfolios.

That history explains how Excelsior works. Buying directly from quarries, kilns, and factories isn't a marketing line — it's the instinct of someone raised in manufacturing and trained in supply chain management. Running a remodel to schedule and budget isn't a promise — it's the same discipline at a different scale.

He came to North Texas in 2023 to build here. The idea for House of Motifs had been with him since 2008; it opened in Downtown McKinney sixteen years later. Since 2024 he has been building relationships across McKinney and the metroplex — and a working bridge between Turkish manufacturing and American projects.

He lives in North Texas with his wife and daughter.

What separates us from a typical remodeling contractor is where our materials come from. Excelsior works directly with a quarry and factory network in Türkiye for natural stone and marble, serves as the U.S. market partner for Sahtas handmade terracotta roof tiles, and holds authorized dealer partnerships for all-plywood cabinetry stocked in Dallas.

Direct relationships mean better pricing, real quality control, and materials most local firms simply cannot offer — delivered and installed by a local team that answers the phone.

What We Do
